    Career Break

    Swindon [Enlarge & More]
Today I had a 12 month Career Break agreed from work. This means I can go travelling and when I get back I can go back to work at my current terms and conditions - as long as there is a suitable job of course. I'm going to start telling my Colleagues from tomorrow, I'm a little nervous but hugely excited at getting it agreed.

Career Break Policies are offered by many Employers it's a chance for you to take some time off unpaid, without in my case impacting the benefits I've gained over my 12 years working there and for them to retain good employees when they are ready to return. My work offers breaks form 1 to 5 years, others I'm sure do the same.

    About Us

    Mahmoud [Enlarge & More]
Hi, I'm Mahmoud. I've taken a 12 month sabbatical from Project Management to travel. I've always wanted to do it and now that it's become a reality I'm relishing every minute. I'm from England, most recently living in Wiltshire.

Leave a comment below as I'd love to hear from you.

I'm Jonathan and I currently live in Swindon, UK and work in IT. I'm taking a year out to travel the world, and to spend time at home in New Zealand - both to visit my family and to travel to the parts of New Zealand that I've never been to before.

I'm looking forward to seeing the many places that we'll be going to, and gaining some experiences that I will keep forever.
